TUMBLR BOMB, PLEASE READ! A SINGLE MOTHER NEEDS YOUR HELP! PLEASE REBLOG!!!
UPDATE: I have found a place to live and I have a bed to sleep in, my cars check engine light went off long enough for it to pass inspection by some grace of god. I have since enrolled myself in online classes and will be earning my certification as a veterinary assistant. I am selling a bunch of old belongings of mine to help pay for diapers. The link is on my blog, please check it out I really need to get rid of this stuff and most of it has barely been used.
Hello internet, my name is Katie. I run a couple of blogs on Tumblr, if you are a follower of mine you might be aware that I am 3 months pregnant (due the first week of May, a taurus baby God help me). But unlike other expecting mothers my story is quite unique and I need your help.
When I was 19 I went to the hospital with sharp pains in my lower abdomen, after running some tests the doctors informed me that I have a decreased ovarian reserve (low egg count) and told me more than likely I won’t be able to conceive by the time I’m 25 (the age that fertility normally peaks for women). Luckily I caught this before it was too late, and at the end of August I found out that I was pregnant. My little miracle.
I named this chipin fund the AK fund because if it’s a girl it will be named Athena and Kaleb if it’s a boy (hence the initials “AK”). I am only 21 years old and I will be a great mother. I have been thinking about how I am going to raise my child since I found out I would soon be infertile and being so young I am able to remember what I lacked as a child and communicate with children so well. I am not afraid of motherhood in the least bit, the only problem is my living situation and I need your help.
I have an outstanding resume for being such a young age and I have no problem finding a job. The only issue is that the economy in my area is completely walmartized (only minimum wage part time jobs available), I have family who disapproves of my decision and I am currently sleeping on the floor of the baby’s grandfather’s apartment because he has a 1 bedroom and I have been kicked out of my home, when the property manager is in the area I sleep on friends’ couches and in my car so that he does not get evicted for violating his one person lease. I live in a small city in upstate NY that has a high crime rate and riddled with drugs, it is not safe for a young woman like me to raise a baby here and not to mention it is super expensive. I have found a couple of very cheap but very nice places to live in the suburbs 30 to 60 minutes outside of Philadelphia, PA… I love Pennsylvania and I believe it would be a great place to raise a child, and it is not EXTREMELY far away from my hometown. It is also away from all the bad people that have been in my life and continue to be a threat to me during my pregnancy.
I am asking you to help me raise $2000 to cover car repairs (my car is not street legal), my first 2 months rent while I find a job in the area and get my bank account back to normal, money to buy the things I need and do not receive at my baby shower, and moving expenses. I spent the last month and a half cutting as many corners as I can on my spending, I currently have $500 saved but I am not going at the rate I need to in order to make this work. Please share my story and help me out, please don’t let me have to raise my baby on the floor of someone else’s apartment in a city that I cannot afford to live in. I am not just another young mother looking for a free ride, this was my only chance at motherhood and I was blessed enough to be given this opportunity.
I have created a ChipIn page for my baby, even if you don’t have a buck to spare please help me by reblogging this post and spreading my story on Facebook.
